UK Election: Welsh Secretary urged to resign - BBC News
Показать описание
A member of Boris Johnson's cabinet, Alun Cairns, the Welsh Secretary, has been urged to resign by a victim of rape. The victim - who can't be named- says Mr Cairns should step down because of his links to a man who sabotaged her trial.
Meanwhile another senior Conservative, Jacob Rees-Mogg, has apologised after suggesting Grenfell residents might have used common sense and left the burning tower, against fire service advice.
The developments came as the Liberal Democrats launched their campaign with a pledge to stop Brexit.
BBC News at Ten’s coverage from Tuesday 5th November, featuring Huw Edwards, Felicity Evans, Lucy Manning, Laura Kuenssberg, Katya Adler and rounded off with a report from our Science Editor David Shukman on the role the environment will play in this election.
