I wish colleges knew who did and didn’t. My son wanted to present an authentic voice that was his own. I helped him edit but didn’t change his voice! I wish admissions knew he had no professional meddling.

Yeah but those are only the ones who were honest so the number would be higher

It should be against admissions rules to get help for essay writing or make it so that they’re written in a controlled setting, like SATs. It’s really naive of admissions people to think what they’re reading was really written by students, especially the rich ones who can afford college counselors. Bring back the writing portion of SAT

I know I shouldn’t look down on Ivy League kids, but I still do because of stuff like this.
