Our holiday tradition, though I only recently realized it was my own “tradition” is that we keep our decorations up for a long time! We wait until after thanksgiving to put them up, but keep them up at a very minimum of epiphany (1st Sunday after Jan 1) and usually until Feb or March. Weather wise I get SO bummed out Jan - May, so keeping the decorations up for a while helps with that ☺️

Loved this video. Not only did I enjoy hearing your stories but it prompted me to remember so many of my own holiday memories. ❤️Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I celebrate Hanukkah, although, it's pretty much me alone. My sister suffers from dementia and is a skilled nursing facility. Fortunately, I have wonderful people in my life so I don't feel alone. I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for the New Year!🎄🎀❤

My favorite tradition growing up was “Family Night.” Every December 23rd we would stop all preparations and gather together for dinner. We would open up the gifts that came from family from afar, as well as my brother and I would exchange gifts. There was also always one family gift that was a movie or game. It was about creating a moment with family and a pause before the craziness of my large family. The gifts that came from afar and between siblings didn’t get lost in the shuffle of Santa and extended family. I also have always LOVED going to Midnight Mass. There is something special about going to church in the middle of the night, and hearing our church pull out all the stops when it came to the music. A grounding moment between the two days of celebrations.

Love that intro there. Very new school Christmas. Love the individual gift idea. It really eliminates the pressure. But when everyone gets only one gift my family is so consumer centric that it wouldn't work. I just enjoy spending the time together.

Love this! We celebrate Epiphany or Three Kings Day in January. This is important as it keeps my children knowledgeable on our Latin traditions:-)

So my birthday is Christmas Eve, so my favorite things we do for the holidays are things I wanted for my birthday. We usually go drive around on Christmas Eve to see lights while listening to Christmas music and then get new pajamas when we get back to the house to watch a Christmas movie or two. Usually I put on White Christmas but its been A Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation in the past as well.

Loved that and so cute to see your home movies 🎥 love what your family dies around gifts our rule fir the last few years is no adult gifting unless it’s home made (I’m a crafter so is my mum) and we spend a little extra on birthdays instead because then we are only buying for one instead of 10😳 it is less stressful and let’s us focus on what’s important 👍🏻 merry Christmas Amy, Vin little bean and the gatluw team xx

My favourite tradition is Chris Rea 'I'm driving home for Christmas' on the Polish radio. :)

My favorite tradition has been canceled for two years thanks to COVID but my extended family always gets together for a big Christmas celebration. We have to rent a hall because there are nearly 100 of us that come with food and we just eat and tell stories and catch up with everyone. Santa will come for the Littles and pass out gifts while they tell him their wish list.

Love the talkboy throwback.. We used to record our own radio show with songs from the radio on out boom boxes. It was very hard work!

Our Christmas traditions: Tree up after Thanksgiving, tree down January 6th or at least that's the goal. Watching Polar Express in jammies on Christmas Eve. We also celebrate Yule/Winter Solstice and keep (fake) candles burning in the all of the windows all night long since it's the darkest day of the year.
