‘American Idol’ winner Laine Hardy was arrested on Friday by Louisiana State University police after an ex-girlfriend accused the singer of bugging her dorm room.

We went skiing with a bunch of friends and when the guys were drinking and talking downstairs in the living room, one of the girlfriends took a baby monitor and placed it by the fireplace in a large paper cup with parts of the cup cut out with the camera facing us. They were watching and listening to our conversation upstairs in a locked room. We found out later and pranked them big time, but at the time we didn't even think about pressing charges or the stunt being illegal... Go figure. I think everyone at one time or another experienced something similar. I hope this doesn't ruin Laine's career, he is such a nice and talented guy.
