They survive better in the wild because live in the open ocean. They got all the space they could want and more alone time then the average college student.

They eat jellyfish, a very slow preay with low nutritional value that is not worth the effort for faster predators, and can be outright dangerous.

The footage from the fishing vessel => If those fish take so much time to grow that large, aren't they a protected species or can they be commercially sold for their meat?
