This is the longest “short ” I’ve ever watched. 😅 bcIt would’ve been cool if you had gave some context on what the knots were called & when a person might use it. Thanks for all your hard work!

Fold the end if the string over, leaving 4 or 5 inches of string side by side. Next, make ONE simple loop-knot anywhere along the doubled-up portion, pull in each direction until knot is small and tight, leaving a loop at the end, that you place over the nail. Believe it or not, (no pun intended) the loop and knot WON'T slip! Too simple! Try it and see. You're welcome...

BTW, the video AND SavageStan ALMOST got it right... When the string in the video was wrapped around (like a twist-tie on a loaf of bread), the part that is being missed is, the end of the string needs to go through the small opening beween the nail and the "V" of the string, THEN push the wrapped part of the string toward the nail while pulling the other end away from the nail. Although all of this WILL work with string, it is typically not necessary, but it is VERY necessary with fishing line...
