Calculate Magnetic Declination (EOM322.02)

It is important for cadets to know how to calculate magnetic declination and set it on a compass as it provides the cadet with confidence that they will arrive at their destination when navigating on a bearing. Not accounting for
declination may affect navigation, as the cadet may travel off route. For every one degree of error in declination setting, a person would be approximately 52 m off of for every km travelled.
