This is an insight into an Indigenous Initiation ceremony...native voices, foot stomping, rain storm, birds flying overhead, the desert winds, wild dingo's, & so much more... absolutely epic.. he is a 'gift' to us all. Loved your reaction my friend. Hi from Australia 🦘🦘🦘

This has a VERY Pink Floyd-ish feel to me, for some reason...
Many people talk about how great of a musician Tommy Emmanuel is, But, few talk about what a humble MAN he is, and how he is so tuned in to making sure that music stays PURE, and that the next generation of musicians will live on...
I saw Tommy at Variety Playhouse, in Georgia, one time, and after the show, he was out in the lobby, signing autographs and talking to people - there was a huge line of people waiting their turn - and this kid (Probably 7 or 8) walked up with his dad, and wanted his guitar signed. Tommy asked him "Do you play?" and the kid said "A Little. But I'm still learning, " and Tommy said "Son, I have been playing all my life, and I am still learning, " And walked around to the front of the table, squatted down next to the boy, and asked him to play something for him.
The kid played a tune he had been working on, and, afterwards, Tommy asked him for the guitar, And showed him a couple of tips to help with that song, and had the kid play those exercises. THEN, Tommy looked up at the line of people, and said, "Folks, I am so sorry to make you wait, but THIS is our FUTURE; I HAVE TO take a few moments and work with this young man. I promise I will still stay here until I meet every one of you." And he sat with the kid for about 30 minutes, giving him an impromptu lesson.
Nobody left their place in line. Nobody complained, Because they KNEW what he was doing. He was helping a young man to further develop his passion for the guitar, so that, ONE DAY, we might be able to come see that boy play when he is older. And Tommy met and spoke to every single person in line afterwards, ending over two hours later, and, As I thanked him for all he did for the kid, he said, "It is an HONOR to move the music further down the line. It is more important to me than playing these shows."

I was extremely lucky to be able to have a jam with him, when I was a 16 year old doing work experience in his managers music store, about when this album came out. We both sat in a lesson room, just the two of us with acoustic guitars, and wow. Everything he can do on electric he can do perfectly on acoustic. He even taught me a riff to use in a school performance I did that year. I’ll never forget it. Lovely guy too.

I used to go and see Tommy and his brother Phil play on sunday afternoons at the local pub in Ipswich, Queensland in the early 1980s and always thought that he was too good of a guitarist and here we are 45 years later... R.I.P Phil

This song is a tribute to indigenous Australian's and lightly resembles their musical customs.

Had the privilege of seeing Tommy in a small country Town Hall in the early '90s. My husband was studying guitar at the time and we were thrilled that such a world renowned performer was coming to our little town. Just Tommy, some guitars, a stool and and amplifier. Tommy started his first number and within seconds my breath was taken away and I turn to my husband and saw tears running down his cheeks. We knew immediately we were in the presence of a Master. The next two hours was a peak experience.

Watched Tommy live only a few nights ago in Gothenburg, Sweden. A true artist that make everything look easy. He played two sets for us with only a short break. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. 2, 5 hours of pure joy. ❤

Michael, I have seen Tommy live 3 times in tiny, intimate venues. They guy is absolutely phenomenal. On top of that, he is just the sweetest, most charming down to earth guy. He's a real musical treasure.

Saw Tommy last time he was in town - such an absolute phenomenon his shows are. Beyond talent, a showman as you say Michael - and heart wide open with joy the entire time. One of those must see shows if you ever get a chance, folks.

Always a joy to see Tommy. This is one of my favorite parts of his show. The soundscapes he creates. Billy adds some of this in his live shows, but Tommy is the master

YES!!! Love Tommy Emmanuel! Was working on a college paper when I saw this video pop, and knew I had to watch it! Tommy is a master of the craft, and can just take the guitar to whole different level, and another world. I can watch Tommy and other percussive guitarists for hours, and just be mesmerized. So amazing to see artists "think out of the box", and see what things they do that wouldn't even think of! ✌

Little known fact that Tommy humbly mentioned in one of the 3 shows of his we saw in Hobart Tasmania.
He actually spent time with the Aborigines in outback Australia, learning their traditions and listening to their elders before composing this piece having received their full support. A truely humbled man we were honoured to brush shoulders with briefly when we bought his signed CD.

Oh you're so lucky if you saw him do this live. I saw him do this when he came to my school too many years ago. He did it without the pedals and stuff he has here. It was totally amazing. I was sitting probably about 5 metres (look it up) away from him and it blew everyone away. I've been a lifelong fan ever since.
