The recommended number for eyebrows is 1 open, 1.5

He's wrong, use #1 which is 3mm, but the raised guard would be #1, 5 so to speak, It's the intermediate between #1 and #2. The #2 is 6mm then #1, 5 would be 4.5mm. I just used #2, and it worked fine. I don't have a guard to go up to #1, 5 or 4.5mm.

This is not the way to trim down eyebrows. All the hairs of the brows are now of the same size & now it looks ugly.
