Many countries and regions around the world will hold elections in 2024. Last week the Prime Minister of the UK also announced that the UK will hold an election this year. Alan Freeman, a former principal economist with the Greater London Authority and the co-director of the Geopolitical Economy Research Group joined us in discussing his expectation for the coming elections.

I can agree with A LOT OF what here has been said. In the US there are actually 2 establishment parties who want to benefit of their position of being in power. And the rest of the US citizens have to foot the bill of that entitlement.

I hadn't come across Mr Freeman before today, but very much wish I had. What an excellent, accurate and well articulated anaysis of our current Western plight. Freeman clearly understands the catastrophic miscalculations and warped ideology of our leaders. On Ukraine, Israel, the actions of the Houthis, the political duopolies of most Western nations, the suppression of free speech, the misuse and abuse of democratic machinery, and the continuing ambitions of the neo-colonial and Imperial West, he is absolutely correct.

Gaza represents the arrogant, hubristic indifference of nation-state power structures to the needs of the citizenry. Zionism is the most egregious example, but the phenomena is evident in the U.S. and Europe as well. Democracy itself is sputtering. The very ancient, noble, unifying principles that these nation-states purport to revere are being made a mockery of by the very people that have been entrusted with their care!

I am curious on what is going to happen after this fall of liberal democracys world wide, like, here in Brazil we managed to avoid a dictadorship and we are trying to reverse the damage caused by the coup in 2016, things are stable for now but the Great Media has activated the coup mode and are spreading misinformation against the goverment nonstop.

The evident objective truths of which this gentleman speaks does not seem to be common knowledge amongst many, many Americans. The are still enthralled with the machinations of our entrenched duopoly and unable to see the bi-partisan "shell game" that is being played upon them. The fact that the game is being played right in front of their noses and yet they still refuse to see it, is very, very disturbing. The banality of evil.
