Have you ever wondered what would happen if you actually sat down with missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
Well, the answer depends on you. What do you want to talk about?
Maybe you want a closer relationship with God, or maybe you’re really interested in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Or maybe you’re just curious about our beliefs.
Whatever the reason, here’s what to expect.
After you make a request online, two missionaries will reach out with a text, an email, or a phone call.
About us: We’re unpaid volunteers who come from all over the world.
We take up to two years out of our lives to serve people and share the message of Jesus Christ.
They’ll contact you to set up a visit that fits your schedule.
Usually, it’s between 15 minutes and half an hour.
It can be online, in your home, at church, or even in a public place.
Then, the visit usually goes something like this:
If you’re OK with it, we would usually start with a prayer.
Then if you requested an item, we’ll give it to you, then share a quick message.
If you told us beforehand you want to discuss a specific topic, we’ll come prepared to discuss it.
And if you want to discuss something different, that’s completely fine. It’s your call.
When we’re finished, we’ll ask you if you’d like another visit.
If you say yes, great, we’ll set something up. If not, we’ll be on our way.
And, that’s about it. Of course, every visit is different, but those are the basics.
So, at a minimum, you have a nice conversation about God.
But lots of people end up getting more out of it. You may be one of them.
Only one way to find out!

I remember 23 years ago sitting down with the missionaries for the third time a third set of missionaries. This time is really quick because I really felt the spirit and a serious answer to prayers after a long time searching for the true Church and the truth

I've had Mormons at my home on several occasions, and I mentioned that I had some basic knowledge of their beliefs, and mentioned Joseph Smith, etc, . Once they realize that you have biblical knowledge they kind of back off, and usually do not come back. Even though I was polite, and courteous.

I am not a mormon but I appreciate them coming around the neighborhood they are always kind and happy. Willing to listen to the most down-trodden people and pray with them. These people go into very dangerous neighborhoods and pray with drug addicts. They are spreading the love of jesus christ.

I ordered a free book of Mormon online, a few weeks later two girl showed up at my door. One was from Utah...
I live in Scotland 😁
I think she was doing her missionary in Northern England but that still a fair journey just to give me a book. The young Mormon girl told me she couldn't believe how green the country was were I live, so different from Utah. They were very nice. I read the book, I'm still a Presbyterian Protestant. I did respect that they came all that way to give me a book in person

been on that side before… but that was back when I was told what to believe, what to think, how to act, what to wear, what to read, what not to read, and how to feel. For 40 years I did that.

Now I truly feel free. Religion, while churning out wholesome individuals most of the time, is man made and some, like this one, are high demand religions that control your life with the promise of exaltation.

I lived overseas and couldnt speak the language. One day, when I was feeling down, two young men walked past speaking English. They were missionaries. I'll never forget that moment, like I had found two old friends. We kept in touch for that entire year I was overseas, and I saw them fairly regularly. They helped me. They were two friendly souls. I just wanted to share my appreciation. They were probably god in action. Dont you see, it didnt really matter what they believed, or I believed, because their kindness was what mattered to me. Elder Dan I think, and Elder someone, (Im sorry the name eludes me, but if someone said it, Id remember). Lisbon, about 15 years ago. If youre reading this, thankyou, and I obviously still remember you both! THANKYOU.

For those who know the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to be patient with LDS people we need to share the real Jesus.

When I was still in the Philippines, 25 years ago, my angry dog was chasing the two elders passing in front of our house. The rest was a history, because of my dog, I was converted to become a Latter-day Saints. One of the best thing that ever happened to me.

I'd ask them if they agree with Jesus' teaching that you cannot serve God and wealth (Matthew 6:24). Then I'd ask them why their church is serving wealth by building a massive investment portfolio worth billions and billions.
