A mini vacuum cleaner and an electric screwdriver are NOT tools you need if you make coffee at home.

If you "hot start" your grinder because it is better for the motor... I have a bridge in the Sahara for sale. Or you spend that money on a better grinder.

I like the distribution tool only because I feel like it helps me get a level tamp by starting off with a level bed of coffee

I just vacuum out a ziplock bag with the coffee bag in it with all the air squeezed out. I use a wet rag, an $8 set of brushes, and a little caution to deal with coffee grounds.

Thanks for the video. As for the milk pitcher, actually I like my heirloom pitcher, my grandmother's small metal pitcher (not sure what she used it for), as it adds to the aesthetic of the setup. Functionally, I agree, make no difference, though the spout is probably too blunt to make a sea horse, but I couldn't make a sea horse with a competition pitcher.

You can buy x2 cheap vacuum containers. That comes with a manual or electric pump.
Store half of the bag in one. And a few portions in the other one for daily use.
=Less moist air contact.

Blind shaker > WDT. Made the switch 4 months ago and never going back. I've had way less problems with channeling and uneven extractions.

I have a palm tamper that on the flipside has the distribution tool. I left my homemade wdt back in california made from a champagne cork with spinal tap needles though. I need this guy to come to my place to give me tips though.

I disagree about not needing a thermometer. HOW do you KNOW what is the proper temp, if you have little/no experience. What is hot enough, not hot enough, or too hot?
I've tried it, and my hand say it is hot enough, but the thermometer shows NOT hot enough. So my hand is NOT a good judge of temp.

They might laugh at a cordless vacuum but I say stuff it the bloody mess I get from my Specialita and the small amount of dust from the tamp etc etc makes keeping things clean.
