There's no way Epic will add the ability to gift items from your own locker to others. They already took away trading from Rocket League (RIP) because it competed with thier item shop system. So it would not make sense for them to do so.

My guess is that once we goes into Ch6, Let’s not hope that EpicGames just straight out turn Fortnite from a game into a full on Game Luncher that time with Minecraft and Roblox just like Valve did when they used to make games then became a full on game launcher company that no longer makes games
