Ok I just saw a comment on how its like he's a slave to himself and it just made the drink scene soooo much darker for me. Like his "powerful" self - the one that's engulfed in the world of money and power- keeps the more human part of himself as a slave, keeping him tied down and silent until the "powerful" self needs a new hit to keep him on top and then back in the corner until the next time. Or even as like a sacrifice for the power? Like how a lot of artists sell bits of themselves to the devil for the sake of fame.
And the way his shirt is ripped kind of gives the idea that he's tried to fight back before but could never break free and is now resolved to just repeat the cycle, using his voice/songs to try to get through to himself.

This may have been super over analyzed but man this video/song is amazing!

“Full Throttle” is about realizing how much damage your own choices cause you, but knowing you can’t stop. The visual representation has me locked in the prison of my own head, pleading with myself to set me free.
