Tim Hortons was definitely popular when I was in Toronto and I would say it's much better there too. The coffee is made different, here are all automatic coffee machines but there they froth the milk separately.
They also don't sell burgers or hot dogs in Canada and have sandwiches instead.

Boycott any establishment that no longer accepts cash.

Tim Hortons (Tim’s or Timmie’s) was founded in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964 and was sold in 2014 to the Brazilian global investment firm 3G Capital (owners of Burger King) for $12.5 billion.

Falling Down, I think is one of the most underrated movies "In The World". Probably because the hero is also the villan? Also if you know Bristol at all, on a house you could see as you exited the M32 J2 was an early Banksey depicting the Falling Down promo poster! Not there now, drove past today.😪

For an awesome crispy fried chicken sandwich go to Miami Crispy Chicken in Burnage, Manchester. There are often 45 minute lines outside, sometimes 2 hours, people travel from all over the country

Emmental is a hard cheese that originated in the area around Emmental, in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is a traditional, unpasteurised, hard cheese made from cow's milk. It has a mild taste, fruitier aroma and thin rind. Pronounced - Break 'Emmental' down into sounds: [EM] + [UHN] + [TAAL]

Tim's is everywhere here in Canada and is basically a go to for coffee, donuts, and sandwiches. Not really in US except for the odd one in states that boarder us here in Canada! Tim's is to Canada what Dunkin Donuts is to the US :) Happy to help anytime you have a Canada question!

Came to live in Canada 40 years ago from Lancashire - I learned Tims was a Canadian tradition; then basically a coffee and doughnut shop, with a few sandwich choices. It was good value back then, but has become very pricey now. They changed their coffee supplier which isn't now as good as it used to be and I believe they were bought out by a burger chain. Ever since then their menu offerings have quadrupled, but the quality has gone. My city has a population of 47, 000 and has 15 Tims franchises. Its still popular, despite everything.

Emmental is a wonderful hard Swiss cheese, the one with holes in it.

Tim Hortons in Canada sells very different prepared foods. Their current media push in Canada is for their new flatbread pizzas. They don't do beef or chicken burgers however they do a crispy chicken wrap here. They do the same donuts and timbits (donut holes) as you seem to get in the UK however in Canada they use GMO ingredients like high fructose corn syrup in their donut icing (not good - sticks to the roof of your mouth). They do however make an excellent raisin tea biscuit which is as good as any scone I've had anywhere in Canada.

Tim Hortons in Canada is delicious. Its not the same in the UK.

They’ve done a similar thing in Blackpool with Taco Bell. Tacked onto a dying leisure estate with a closed down Odeon, closed down Frankie & Benny’s and a half built bingo hall.
Madness.
These establishments need to be in town centres to have any chance of survival.

Milk shake looked nice though ;)

great video about the hype or down side, but best part is falling down scene from 1993, for a Few minutes I was thinking Lee is William "D-Fens" Foster, does he, especially in the end with the siren sound 😂😂🚲

Lol I just moved back to the UK from living in Canada for 17 years, Tim’s was my go to at least twice a day for my steeped tea and bagels. When it’s done right it’s the best when it’s bad it’s really bad. There on every corner in Alberta pretty much and it’s everyone’s staple, I’ve even had job interviews in them but next time stick to the doughnuts and steeped tea 😀

When my wife told me that the Prime Minister of Canada got re-elected, I thought she was lying.
It’s Trudeau.

Lived in New Brunswick Canada, Tim Hortons was great for coffee breakfast sandwiches and doughnuts. Anything else not worth having. They are very popular tho
