My guess is the Chinese orders for the Tesla cars partly stem from product quality, but mainly from the assurance that Tesla would be around for more than 1 year. Considering that many of these Chinese EV brands go bankrupt, what is the assurance that you will have aftermarket services provided?

the reason is obvious, all the Chinese Ev companies car about is that sweet subsidy action and making money, while Tesla cares about making a quality product and generating repeat business and good rep.

In the 1947 era, my grand father bought a new General Motors car for $ 500. In those days cars were made out of steel and iron. Flat head 6 cylinder engine with manual transmission. The type of car that will last 30 + years.
