Young opera singers reveal the challenges and joys of singing with an orchestra

In May 2019, OperaVision streamed the 10th International Moniuszko Vocal Competition live from Polish National Opera in Warsaw. During the week, we took the opportunity to interview the singers, jury members and organisers about their experiences of taking part in the prestigious competition.
In this video, competition finalists Monika Buczkowska, Slávka Zámečníková and Milan Siljanov describe what it’s like to rehearse and perform with a full orchestra in the Grand Final compared with a piano in the preliminary rounds.
