Backfield In Motion - Mel And Tim - 1969

Mel Hardin and Tim McPherson scored a #1 hit out of the blue with, Backfield In Motion, which stayed at #1 for 3 weeks, beginning the week ending 11/8/69. Released on the Bamboo label, they eventually signed with Stax and had several hits in the early 70's with Stax. Backfield In Motion remains their signature song however.
