🙂JUST INCREDIBLE Simon! I am trying to recreate all your Tutorials to learn how to use Apple Motion better. But this one was difficult. I guess that over time I'll gather better insight on how to do each step and make each action make sense. I can occasionally see some steps that you have omitted, but yet possible to include while learning. Thanks for making these advanced tutorials available to us. (And imagine, this was made 8 years ago, impressive). /Claes

Simon, this is super greatI I would like to meet you some day. I have subscribe to other tutorials and I find that you are better at giving the lessons for Motion 5. I love to learn more about motion 5 as well as final cut pro x. I love special effects like these 3d projections you are doing... Please, don't ever stop doing what you do best. I know that going to film school would be great and going to school to learn about the editing tools would be the best...but when you are older and don't have money or a way to get a loan or grants... it is people like you that makes a dream come around to actually see and learn something great. Thank you Simon

The button on 33:15 is called "Isolator". It bypasses the 3D camera perspective to work on the particular layer in isolation mode.

This is incredible!!. I have never thought that apple motion was able to do these amazing visual effects (and just for less than 50€). Thank you Mr Simon for your tutorials. I’ll learn this app and follow you!

Jaw dropping good. I wished I had 10% of your Motion 5 skills, I would be really happy 😃 then. Things like this: are they easier to be done in After Effects or Motion 5? Or is it about even and you just face difficulties on different tasks? FYC: I never used After Effects yet. Watching you doing this it looks so easy. As total beginner to Motion 5, I already face problems how to paint a mask with blurry edges to the one half of it and sharp ones to the other side... 🙈. Or how to correct Motion Tracking, if the tracking spot is obscured in a few frames and discontinued in the middle of the sequence 🙈.

Very cool tutorial, but i have a problem with the control points of the bezier mask at 33:02.
I tried to create the mask multiple times and on different machines as described from 33:02 - 33:41 but my mask IS NOT WORKING,
and my control points (33:41) are:

Point 1: X: 241, 6 Y: 658, 4
Point 2: X: 287, 0 Y: 3039, 8
Point 3: X: 414, 2 Y: 2438, 9
Point 4: X: 364, 5 Y: 471, 2

that's strange. Do you know what could be wrong ?
I'm working on a german macos 10.13.2 / motion 5.4.

I was wondering how to make a 2D photo of a cylindrical object, like a Greek or Roman column, 3D...
