I am still looking for the "love" button 😊 Darren is usually behind the scenes, playing the keyboard and using his great voice as back vocal. OK, so Mr Darren Mullen. Never afraid to go with risky, (possibly) unknown songs to the mass market. Does what he wants to from his heart. Doesn't have the need to repeat tracks, "cough - you know who", and just shows how good music is. Family Ties was a staple part of my childhood, I've had to dig out the YouTube clip of this moment just to relive it. Fantastic cover of a live song, if you're ever hanging around a pub in Adelaide and hear this, chances are Darren's has had a few too-many bevvies! You don't realize how complex/difficult a song like this is until you watch someone nail it like this. So good. So many little details that you guys pulled off marvelously. Good idea getting dude to play piano so you can focus on those crazy vox. When you find yourself going back to a certain line and listening 8 times you know there's magic here. Thank you as always.

Ok. Let me settle down first. That was the most musical emotion I’ve felt and heard in years. Back in the day my band covered this at hundreds of private party gigs. In the 80s, but never got close to this. Darren, you’re a master at picking the right song, players, singers and mix. But to garner this kind of a performance from especially the younger players was heartwarming and memorable. Bravo and thank you Darren.

I was a kid in the 80s when I heard this on the sitcom “Family Ties”. IIRC that was Courtney Cox’s introduction to the American audience. Thank you very much for resurrecting this tune.
