RawTherapee is a powerful tool for working with raw files. I recently made a ttutorial on the basics of RawTerapee to get you started quickly. In this video I talk about the basics of batch processing photos using RawTherapee and talk about how to use templates in RawTerapee (how to apply the settings of one photograph to another). This tutorial is quick and simple to save you some time.

Thanks Tom. Love to see how others are using RawTherapee, especially in Linux. I often wonder what features cause folk to spend money on monthly subscription to Adobe products. RT is excellent and I think that I have only scratched the surface of it. Looking forward to seeing your future time lapse photo processing.

Thanks Tom for a straight forward and informative tutorial. If you don't mind would like to ask perhaps an unrelated question to your video. Is it possible to group images in RawTherapy? It is something that can be done in Lightroom by selecting a number of images then, I think, pressing ctrl+g to group all the images under on image. This is something you can also do in Darktable but I have not found a way to do it in RawTherapy. Very useful when you take a series of images to be stitched into a panorama.

Another great tutorial Tom, thanks.👍👍Would a template created this way be similar to a 'preset' created in Lightroom?

Thanks for this. Probably a very basic question, but is there a way to take a bunch of edited RAW images from RAW Therapee into GIMP, then make a bunch of changes there, i.e. inside GIMP, and then batch process them.
