Yessss!!! Please do a deep dive into the truth about recycling. I’m so interested to see this from an unbiased observer like you

Yes, more on recycling please! I read that recycling plastic actually creates more microplastics - which is really bad.

On the hot water/cold water thing a plumber told me that even if I only used cold water for all my laundry, I needed to run at least one load with hot water every two weeks or so. He said it cleans out the area of the line where the water pressure lowers and detergent residue can sink and layer up. So maybe it's not about the clothes but keeping the drain clean.

Yes to the recycling video! I use hot water if I need to sanitize something— like bedding and towels after I had the flu.

Yesss!!!
I saw a leprechaun!
I use cold water with liquid detergent and vinegar instead of a softener. My laundry smells great (detergent smell) and is clean. Thanks for another great video! Sometimes I felt I was doing things the wrong way because washing clothes in the cold cycle is like a big mistake and people looked at me with that “she doesn’t know, poor little thing” kind of look. I’m happy to know all of this info you gave! THANKS!

I'd love to learn more about the world of recycling, thanks! Regarding hot/cold water, I mostly wash in warm water, except I use hot water for sheets and towels, just because I "feel" better about it (even though you just debunked that myth). 🤷‍♀️

My son has eczema and I’m so glad you explained the differences between fragrance-free and unscented.
As for my laundry; I wash all our clothes, blankets, and the babies bedding in cool water with liquid detergent and white vinegar (substitute for softener). Our towels and sheets/pillowcases are washed in warm water. The only items that I wash with hot water are my son’s cloth diapers. I use hot water in the pre-wash and main wash cycle but use cool/cold water to rinse.

I took your advice about using cold water for laundry and have ‘NEVER’ used warm/hot water. I also use a liquid laundry detergent that is meant to be used with cold water.
Pls do make the video about the whole recycling thing. Thanks 😊

I use cool water on all of my laundry. ALL of the stains come out. I put a little bit of Dawn dish detergent in every load and it lifts all grease or food stains really well.

I use cold water, always have, because I was under the impression hot or warm water will alter your clothing. So I use cold to avoid fading, crazy shrinking, etc. Especially on band tees or graphic tees, I don’t want anything warping. Only time the hot water is being used is when I’m washing soiled bed sheets or towels and also when I use the clean tub function(clean washer function)

Yes please! Please make a video about recycling and whether that will be different depending on what part of the world you are in. I have also never heard of "Reducing, Refusing, Reusing" that you talked about @6:38 until today. That should get its own dedicated video as well if it hasn't been made.

I use hot water for whites, warm water for blankets and comforters and cold water for everything else. And yes, I would love to see a video about recycling ♻️

I saw a leprechaun. About a year ago I heard to always use cold water. I would be very interested in the recycling process.

I only use cold water to wash my clothes. Once my husband got especially sweaty while working around the house. The result was a t-shirt that reaked! I washed it in cold water with vinegar as the fabric softener. The result was a t-shirt that did not smell at all. I swear by using vinegar as softener. I also saw a leprechaun!

For greasy clothes, I've always thought warmer (not hot) water will help dissolve the fat to allow the surfactant in detergents to encapsulate the grime to remove them. Is that not the case?

I saw a leprechaun! Also, I'm glad you explained the difference between unscented and fragrance free detergent. I learned the hard way that unscented detergent was extremely irritating to my eczema than normal detergent. It took a while to find one that didn't cause breakouts but I quickly learned to avoid unscented.

The sponge thing makes sense. People don’t properly rinse their sponges after use and keep them way longer than they should. Also, sponges should air out after use

I had NO IDEA fragrance free and unscented were not the same thing! My cat is allergic to a lot of things, including certain brands of detergents even though they have no smell. Now I know why!

I use cold water for clothing and hot for bed linens. We never used feather dusters as we all had asthma. The doctor told my mom to wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth to ensure the dust wasn't put back into the air. That was over 50 years ago. Sometimes I cheat and use the brush attachment on my vacuum cleaner. Lol. I would be interested in a video on recycling. I did watch a documentary about it a couple of years ago. Most plastic isn't recyclable. I still do it, but I try to purchase non-plastic items where I can. I actually prefer glass and wish the companies would go back to that. I think the plastic containers affect the taste of food. Nothing tastes as good as it did before plastic took over. I would also prefer paper bags over plastic. I try to take my own bags, but cashiers sometimes get aggravated as the plastic bags are easier for them. It is destroying our world. People worry about climate change, but I think plastic is the most harmful thing humans have made. Thank you for a very informative video.

I saw the leprechaun! For laundry, I use cold for everything but towels. I wash those in hot water.
Yes, please, for a behind the scenes recycling video!
