I was listening to this and went to look up an old friend, one I hadn't talked to in years. Instead of a Facebook or Twitter address I found his obituary from March of last year. I'm still in shock.
Tony was a composer, you see, and I can't help but feel the coincidence of listening to this and finding out about his death is no accident. Tony introduced me to Mahler when I was 20, and took me to my first New Order concert the same year. I compose and produce as well, and his impact on my developing musical taste was extraordinary. Thank you, Tony, for bringing me to this. Even in death you lead me to beauty.
