The French Song Contest 2025

Показать описание
In loving memory of Robert Wallace
The French Song Contest was a wonderful moment of sharing, emotion and exchange on Friday 21 March. Listening to more than 300 students sing in French in southern Africa, here in Harare, what a fabulous moment!
Here are a few stolen moments from this cultural event created as part of the Francophonie Week, with the support of His Excellency Paul-Bertrand Barets , Benjamin Durrenberger (Head of Cooperation) from the French Embassy in Zimbabwe, the Alliance Française de Harare and all the diplomatic representations of the French-speaking world.
I would like to thank the 20 Zimbabwean schools that took part in this competition and congratulate the primary school winners:
1st prize: Royal Comfort Junior School
2nd prize: Chivaraidze Academy Primary School
3rd prize: Country Stables School
And for secondary schools :
1st prize: St-George's College
2nd prize: Peter House Girls' School
3rd prize: Eaglesvale School
Well done to them, well done to everyone, and well done to the students of The French School of Harare, who gave outstanding performances under the guidance of Mathieu Pinarello and their teachers.
And last but not least, well done to Mélanie Sirdey-Coid, who took on this project with her usual dynamism!
The Headmistress
