I bought these yesterday after being less than thrilled with my Metcon 4s. Did Heavy clean singles and they performed well. A little less stable than the 4s, but really comfy shoe. I've been battling some achilles pain, and the slightly higher heel and a touch more cushion makes these MUCH more comfortable than the 4s just specifically for my injury. Really pleased with Nike's effort on these!

I just love the styling of this shoe. I think its finally a pair for someone like me who needs a single pair for both running and average heavy lifting.

Does water leak in from the sole of the shoe? Since the midsole is exposed?

I got a pair of these and I like them so far. Good for higher running lower heavy weight WODs. I wear them as a walk around shoe as well because I don't like tying my shoes when I'm not training and the sock liner is good for that. Lastly, with Murph coming up I see them good for that work out as well. I still use my metcon's for medium to heavy weight WODs.

I know its an old review amd the metcon free x 2 is on the way but I bought these shoes and initially they were amazing. Inside the heel cup was a little bit of foam that helped stop heel slippage after a while this wore down and now these rub like crazy. Even tightening the shoe and experimenting with socks doesn't stop it. Such a shame as I love the design and it's ethos. Hopefully the 2 will address this.

Wish they'd bring a solid red in these! I don't do crossfit but want a good all around shoe for everyday wear and gym time and such, and these shoes look so damn nice!

Can you please compare them to Reebok models in your full length review? I'm curious to know if they would be similar to the speed tr 2 or maybe the nano 2 (i have both of those and like them both). And which of those 3 would be most comfortable for running. Thank you!

How’s the cushioning? I suffer from chronic shin splints and I’ve been using the Reebok speed tr 2.0’s which have some cushioning but I still switch them out for longer runs during wods. These seem like they might be a better fit... how do they compare to the speed tr’s in your opinion?

I currently have Fs lite trainer 4, im looking for new shoes, i mainly do weights these days but need something a little bit versatile, was going to get the metcon 4, which would you choose these of the metcon 4's, btw im only just starting with weights so every thing is light, 60kg back squats and 80kg dead lifts.

On your front squats, it doesn't hurt your wrist? I've always been taught to have whole hand on the bar and develop mobility that way on purpose.

How do these compare to the metcon 3s? I’m currently using the metcon 3s for weightlifting and the Nike zoom Pegasus 3s for running. My Achilles has been giving me problems here and there. Wanted to find a shoe that could do both without having a drop in performance. Thanks in advance!!

But if you're really lifting, Snatches and Cleans, wouldn't you use lifters (romaleos etc) rather than metcons?
