Thank you for being you and all you stand for! I've said this many times, I've been in Manitoba for 48 years and I've had enough. Time for a change. It's because of Danielle Smith that me and my family will be relocating to Calgary. And it's because of Pierre Poilievre that I will be voting in a Federal Election for the 1st time. My vote will go towards Pierre. I cannot wait to move to Calgary become an Alberta resident and vote for Danielle!

WHY ARE THERE NO MORE PREMIERES WITH A SPINE? DANIELLE IS AMAZING. SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WITH ENOUGH GUTS TO PUT TRUDO IN HIS PLACE AND REFUSE THE INFLUX OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

There's only one taxpayer, why are there, Catholic, Public and private schools. It should be one, on the public dime. Why are there 61 school boards, what a waste of money. As usuall, the do nothing administration, eats up the majority of the budget. Before it even gets to the teacher level.

How can we have faith in our transportation departments when in Edmonton it takes an hour and a half to get from the south side to get to a large advanced education like NAIT. In the winter it gets close to 2 hours.

The Wildrose has never said it would stop building infrastructure, but it has said it would invest $48 billion over a decade, make the selection criteria public and avoid going into long-term debt.

It was a mellow end to a bitter legislature session that again saw Stelmach’s Tories fend off renewed accusations of mismanaging the health-care system.

The session saw the four opposition parties unite to demand the province call a full public inquiry into escalating accusations that health managers had bullied and intimidated doctors into keeping quiet about shoddy patient care.

40 plus years of conservative rule in AB and they still are developing a cohesive policy for social policies. Someone please tell me, and it’s now time for you to brag! In the last 40 plus years of conservative rule in AB what has this government done to protect albertans from the predicable ups and downs of an energy dependant economy. One tangible thing please. And no you can’t blame the Feds, what have YOU done?

Wildrose leader Danielle Smith compared Redford to Pinocchio for misrepresenting the Wildrose infrastructure plan and for not telling the schoolkids that they'll be the ones saddled with paying for the new buildings.

None of my tax dollars should go to private schools, or for schools that teach only Arabic.

Oh one other question, do you reply to pointed questions on your fancy YouTube channel or is just during the press conference and canned responses for the few hundred of your faithful base that tune in and you need to appease? While I’m at it hows the war room in Calgary doing? Lots of fanfare opening that up but please explain all the tangible benefits it’s produced for Albertans. Lots of chest pounding about how its going to do wonders, right? Update please.

2013; same old same old, EDMONTON – Alison Redford is defending her decision to travel the province as premier to warn young children that under a Wildrose government no new schools would be built.

“There is nothing wrong with ensuring that we remind people that last year (at the election), they had a choice, and they chose to build schools, ” Redford told the house during question period Monday.

The session featured a number of angry exchanges across the aisle, with Redford and Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith comparing each other to that lovable wooden liar of children’s literature, Pinocchio.

Redford’s Progressive Conservative government is taking on $17 billion in debt over the next four years to pay for infrastructure, including new schools.

“The government isn’t planning to set aside anywhere near enough to pay it back, ” said Smith. “Why didn’t she tell the kids they’ll be on the hook for all of it?”

With the benefit of an exciting decade of hindsight, though, we can see that she wasn’t that much of an outlier among all Alberta premiers since Ernest Manning stepped into William Aberhart‘s shoes.

Until 2019, that is.

Premier Redford’s progressive pitch won a comfortable majority for the PCs in 2012 — to the great disappointment of mainstream Alberta media that had carried water for the farther-right Wildrose Party and its leader, Danielle Smith.

Notwithstanding a number of scandals that seem small beer in the present circumstances — expensive travel to South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s funeral, false passenger bookings on the government plane so the premier could travel in privacy, and a plan to build an apartment for the premier atop an Edmonton government building, the notorious Sky Palace — the government she ran looks positively exemplary compared to the current deadly gong show in the Alberta Legislature.
