It was mentioned in the video that he isn't a CDM but a box-to-box midfielder, so if he is to be signed, where would he be played? Kone is a CDM is he not? Perhaps, they will both be signed and play different roles, Kone in a double-pivot role with Alexander-Arnold and Thuram in an advanced role next to Mac Allister. Or perhaps they will only sign one of the two because they are of a similar ilk, just like Luke mentioned in the interview. If that is the case, who of the two should be signed and why?

I would argue Kone to play the double-pivot role, especially since Fabinho's performance last season dipped somewhat. Then I would try to get either a Barella or a Szoboszlai or a Gabri Veiga to play in an advanced role next to Mac Allister. What do you think?

New sub. Off topic: Henderson's gonna be a surplus to requirements, considering the incoming personnel. Needs to be shipped back to Sunderland asap. He'd never be a squad player for Man City, let alone a starter, for example.
