Colt clearly suffers from emotional incest. Thought the show both debbi and colt talk about how colt had to be a mini husband, her only friend, financial responsibility etc. Tims "that's your mom" is so short sided you do not have to respect your abuser just because your abuser is your mom. Colt has been going through therapy to heal from his upbringing. Emotional incest leaves the same scars as sexual abuse. Debbie has disliked every single woman in his life not this show. She liked his current wife when she was breaking up a relationship but then when she moved in Debbie instantly hated her. Colt is not a good husband/boyfriend/partner on the show he at least is trying to go to therapy that Debbie belittles to work on that.
Again YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RESPECT YOUR ABUSER BECAUSE THEY ARE FAMILY

I'm not a Colte fan, but I actually think he's being more honest than people realize. Debbie is kind of crazy and that's Colte kind of crazy.. especially now that he isn't paying her bills.

I think the love has turned to resentment bcz he's only now realizing how much of a hindrance their (Colt & Debby) relationship was to his own personal growth. But he should also understand that Debby probably didn't know what to do herself after her husband died and loneliness is a hell of a thing. I think she got dependent on him and he wanted to be there for his mom. Neither was wrong but they definitely need to talk it out and come to an understanding.

If she have not been there for him all his life to make you feel secure and make him feel like he has a mother he has every right to feel how he feels yes they don't agree with it or some people might not agree with how he view his biological mother but if she have been disconnected from him up until this point we can't feel bad that's his Violet emotion and she can't sit the looking all shock either as if she been a mother of the year

I cannot imagine the amount of frustration and maybe even rage when Colt was feeling when he heard what Ceaser and Tim said about HIS, not their, mom. It's different when you have a mom who tries her best to make ends meet and give you the best life possible, loves you and truly cares about you. It's another thing when that person is emotionally and/or mentally abusive to you and toxic and that's what Debbie is. Instead of wanting to see her son happy with someone, she'd prefer they break up and the only person he has is her.

Not everyone has to respect their mom. She’s just a woman who chose to have sex and give birth to us, there’s nothing special about that. Anyone can open their legs and get pregnant, but that doesn’t mean that they’re good mothers. Treat your mom as she treats you..
