I don't know why people continue to compare Diana and Camilla. They know there is no comparison physically, but Charles always loved Camilla just the same. There are many marriages where one can't figure out what one person sees in the other. So please, don't compare. I like Camilla for who she is, Charles's wife.

One would think that age would develop gracefulness and respect for what the monarchy tried so very hard to implement through the years of Queen Elizabeth ll, .and yet somehow, the child like elder adult of Camilla was, and is preferred over (deceased) Princess Diana's younger youthfulness by the once Prince - now King Charles. And people wonder why the half-century older generation (and younger generations) would prefer Prince William as the new monarchy (King).

This thread has gotten away from the important things about Princess Diana. I was young and impressionable when I first saw her. The important things are not what her education was, or anything to do with Charles or Camilla. What I remember about her is how she held babies and children who were infected with HIV/AIDS, how she hugged and touched adult AIDS patients at a time when even nurses and doctors were afraid to actually touch these people without being covered in protective gear. I remember her going into areas where landmines were still everywhere. She actually walked through old landmine sites knowing that there could still be mines. She held children whose arms and/or legs had been blown off by these mines. She comforted soldiers whose bodies were ripped apart by mines. Her work focused on ending the use of landmines around the world. She brought awareness to people who were shunned, marginalized, had a stigma against them because of their particular disease or just ignored by main stream society. She hugged homeless people, disabled people, sick people and poor people. She actually touched people with her bare hands, that medical staff wouldn't touch. She did more than just raise money. She gave of her time and herself. She went to homeless shelters, leprosy wards and cancer wards. She helped people who were addicts, especially children born addicted to drugs. She learned several sign languages to communicate with hearing impaired people around the world. She would sit with hospitalized, terminally ill people just talking with them. She was also a great mother and raised her son's with love, affection and devotion. She also made sure that her sons were truly in touch with people from all walks of life. She succeeded in making the world a better place for a lot of people around the globe. There is more, but, I think this makes my point. One more thing: she learned Welsh so that she could deliver her speech to the people of Wales, as their Princess, in their language. She wasn't perfect. But she was darned close. Whether you like her or not, there are things about her that everyone can admire and appreciate.
