Been looking for a new headlamp. Might have to pick this up

When there is Fenix and other brands that offer replacable batteries with longer constant battery life I don´t see a reason to save those 20 bucks and go for this. It may just be due to market shift in the recent years so maybe this review is simply dated in 2023 and later.

I have a Coast RL27R headlamp which is also have a rear safety red light.

Headlamp light is good. The clips on the battery pack for the straps broke on two different lights. I wouldn't buy again.

Hah. Just bought this after having used the BioLite 300 for short runs. I'm excited to try the trickle-charge feature for long overnight runs. If it works out OK then I may use it for a couple of 100 mile ultras in 2021.

I really like the rear facing blinking light. That’s a game changing idea. Is the battery replaceable or just rechargeable?

My last couple of headlamps have been Petzl Reactik+ and Petzl Swift RL. I really like the way they automatically adjust the brightness based on the ambient light. It's stop you blinding people, and means your not wasting power when not required.

I wish you would put out more content. Only 5 videos in 5 days - shameful :)

I was support crew for a buddy doing a hundo and I turned off my light on the trail for second at night just to see how dark it was. Super scary. I kept thinking, what if my battery dies. I'd probably still be out there on that mountain. So I say keep at least two ready to go if you're out on the trails at night.

Very informative whilst still being enjoyable.

Hi, great review. One question please? Can the flashing rear light be switched off when running so just the front lamp is on?

Bought one of these, thought the plastic adjustment clip on the left side was factory installed in reverse on mine.. but noticed yours was the same way. Must be a design feature I don't understand, it was the same on another review as well.

I like the battery life, but I prefer a strap over the top of your head like on the Nao+. The Nao+ is also very well balanced and has some more features. But it costs a bit more.

Picked one up when you recommended it in your Holiday Gift guide. Gearing up to hopefully do my first 100 miler in 2021 (maybe the Midstate Massive!). So now is good time to log some night running.

Just got this bad boy in the mail this morning...right after I got back from my early morning run lol. Nearly blinded myself unlocking and playing around with the settings. Excited to use it on my next early morning run!

The red backlight and trickle down brightness settings are noteworthy. I was going to get the Petzl Iko but it has pretty poor brightness settings - only 100 or 500, but it might be enough for short road running sessions.

Looks like a good value. The weight distribution and battery life are important to me. I should probably get a rear blinker since I oftentimes run on some low traffic streets at night and could use a little peace of mind. Well, I added it to my Amazon wish list so maybe I'll get lucky this holiday season. Thanks for the review.

I wanna get this but they are just very expensive 😢 but thank you for the review tho. Good job on the video.

You need to check out the Lumonite Compass R. Bright and really great burn time. A class above anything else that I have tried. Probably the most popular head lamp amongst Swedish ultra-runners. We have tough conditions and looong nights up here.... Did a 45 mile over-night trail run recently, did not need to change batteries for the 9 hours that the run took.
