A friend was like constantly telling me to cut them and that i look awful and i almost did, as time passed, one day i looked in the mirror and my dreads were looking amazing, I felt amazing and was glad i didnt cut them.

So never listen to other people and be yourself no matter what.

Everyones journey is different. It took me nearly 2 years before i fully embraced my dreads. I say fully embraced as in go out in public without a hat, hoodie or beanie. The journey has been a great experience. It does teach you patience thats for sure.

If youre a few months in and youre looking at people with dreads hanging down their backs and wishing for such length - dont. Some of those people have been on their journey for a decade or more and youre only making it harder on yourself. Just tough it out and your hair will reach a point to where it works for you.

I went through times of thinking my starter locs were ugly. Recently passed 1 year and 2 months mark and im now getting compliments on my locs all the time. Dont give up its worth it.

I logged my second journey here on YouTube and used to be DEEP in the loc community helping out with loc appreciation day etc on my old channel dunte86 . And doing loc logs helped Soo much .
