MOST PROBLEMS are UNIQUE to California. Starting with their Governor and filtering down through all the municipalities.

You can tell Maxwell Frost has never been to Florida.

For one thing, since Florida didn't shut down, they had extremely little unemployment. So they had one of or maybe the best system!

I agree with a more modern system, but Unemployment Insurance is also not the biggest priority in states like Florida because they want to stay open and operating. They wanted people to keep their jobs. We cannot be incentivizing the easy way out...

I live in Michigan and it took me over 6 months to get my first check, that's with a written letter from my previous employer and verified information.

I think this would have all been avoided if we didn't shut down the world for a measley virus. Lost my job from a fortune 300 company after massive layoffs 9 months after being told to work from home. If we were able to go back to work in a reasonable amount of time Americans wouldn't be dealing with the consequences.

States have been "upgrading" their unemployment compensation computers for over 40 years, how much more time do they need?

Welcome to being alive. It's a unique condition that comes with trials and struggles and WILL result in some anxiety and stress. If you can't handle a few bad feelings we have exit bags available upon request.

Of all states, as of Dec 2022, FL ranks #6 with unemployment at 2.7%. #1 - North Dakota is at 2.1%. California is #40 at 4.1%.

How can this entire meandering exchange be all about California’s issues and he chooses to dig at his own state out of nowhere as he yields his time…

I’m unfortunate enough to reside in this clowns FL district and I am still beside myself that he was the best to democrats had to offer and even more that he actually won. 🤮

If Florida is so great, and Desantis is such a great governor, can someone explain to me why the government covers 34 percent of the Florida budget. Meanwhile we are told California is so terrible but for every dollar they pay the federal government they only get back .65 cents.

How about Florida pays their own bills for once? They brag about their no income taxes, but they can’t even pay their own bills. Why does California have to cover Florida’s expenses? IMO it’s time for the red states to start paying their own bills. No more leaching off blue states while complaining about how we are so woke.
