This is good news for Africa because it imports a large amount of grain from Ukraine and Russia; Voters in Senegal cast their ballots in parliamentary elections – pitting the ruling party against an opposition coalition energized by food price hikes -- and fears President Macky Sall could run for a controversial third term; And, residents in Ethiopia’s AFAR region are in dire need of medical aid as hundreds of hospitals and medical centers have been destroyed by conflict.
