Maybe one day I can get back what I used to have all those years ago. It meant so little to me because I didn't understand what it was yet. You are everything I yearn for today, yet I was too immature to see it then. All I do now is regret the harsh, reasonless goodbye. I sit and stare off in space every single night, thriving in my imagination with you. I'll never forget the way you looked at me when we ran into each other some time after at the middle school watching a soccer game. That moment when we locked eyes, I understood all the movies and lines saying time slowed down because it sure did. You were prettier than the sunset. I damn near fell to my knees in that moment. I felt so in tune with the way you looked at me. I couldn't focus on anything else that night at all. You took over my heart in that one moment.
