Check out this webinar from GoEngineer to improve your product design with Topology Optimization tools in SOLIDWORKS Simulation. Based on real-life use, desired goals, constraints, and even manufacturing consideration, a topology study provides results to build products with optimum strength-to-weight characteristics. The webinar will go over the following topics : • Setting up a Topology Optimization study with SOLIDWORKS • Best practices on meshing, goals and constraints • Tips to extract the final shape of the optimized part Incorporate SOLIDWORKS simulation in your product design workflow to shorten development times and build the next generation of mechanical products. This webinar is presented by Arun Thiraviam who is a Simulation Product Manager at GoEngineer.

By far one of the most precisly and detailed explanations about this apart and aplications on SolidWoks. Thank you so much. Regards from Argentina!

I cannot believe I didn't get into this years ago.. VERY good video, especially the optimization of one thing at a time and several different FEA mesh/analysis differences.. Thanks so much for this GoEngineer..!!!

Congrats you guys, hats off to you, for real tho. I've had entire lectures in this regard but none have delivered as much useful and practical information as you guys just did with this video. Keep up the good work!

18:20 just a personal timestamp referring a pack of useful recommendations for using this on my old laptop. If you've got the time, putting in place these timestamps into the video can really help people to find solutions faster in your video, not only by themselves founding your video on YT, but even by just searching on Google if you name them correctly and if they do their part correctly as well. Stuff like "Reducing the time to run the test" may be what you need for the name of that segment. I was already prepared to drop the idea of making the analysis I wanted and just wanted to know more about it, but this really was something not a regular video on the topic takes time to mention and could be extremely helpful for someone who maybe had already stopped their research on the topic and just stumbled into this while trying to solve similar problems. That happens a lot haha.

One small doubt in the study; shouldn't the size of the finite elements also be considered as one of the constraints since it also is the deciding factor as to what the final outcome is (in terms of stress or displacement plots)?

I am an engineering student and I want to know if my vega integrated graphics card is enough to run this model with solidworks software, can it be run smoothly with just an integrated graphics?

you also missed the direction of the forces.
