We have been doing Micro dermabrasion in our salons for decades. We use crystals and we do this as part of our one and only Peaches facial. When done correctly it can be a game changer. As you said it is so important what is done before and after. I don’t believe in peels however we extract and mask and massage and the results are exceptional.
The issue we see is that estheticians are using “ diamond tips” or what I call files. We see bacterial & fungal infections and this is not micro dermabrasion.
They want you to think it is because it is so much less expensive to buy a tip then it is to buy an actual micro dermabrasion machine.

I had this done in office when i worked in sugery over 29 yrs ago and i loved it. The nurses actually complimented my skin, i told them what i had and they had it done.

I hate microderm! Three times I've had it done in my life, and everytime I get distended vessels

I'm not so sure it works well with older women whose skin integrity is declining. I think they're great for younger women though.
