I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you here.

I can't imagine flying into Bangkok and then leaving within 3 days with a child. Then flying to Phuket and only staying 3 days. Dealing with the distance of the airport alone would be a pain. Just my own personal experience traveling with my daughter... I'm not going to the airport, flying and then checking in somewhere... Then repeating the process 3 days later. Not sure why you consider this "a relaxing pace". Maybe for backpackers who are interested in just going to the most places without really taking in the city. This itinerary is not for families traveling with children.

4 Thai cities in 18 days. Even without a child, this is traveling quickly. This is a trip to and from the airport + a flight every ~4 days. Cut this down to 2 cities in 18 days. No reason to run all over the country just because there are nice places to see.
