Nice review. I got a GVM slider in Jan 2019 and overall I really like it. The price was right. I had a nice ball head for my tripod sitting in the closet from when I converted to a fluid head for my tripod. People thinking about buying one should consider the added cost of a ball head. I have not tried the time lapse feature. I had a problem when the cable failed. The red wire broke. I contacted customer service and they sent a new cable right away. The motor noise is picked up by my Sony camera, but I am mostly shooting B-Roll not the main footage, so it is not a big issue. I think the slider footage ups my game.

I got this on sale for €270 and added a Hague automated pan/tilt head it's replaced 70% of my studio gimbal work even more if you add the pan/tilt head to a camera boom for crazy over head shots

Your kid is tremendously cute bro. I can't believe you shot that whole Microsoft snippet with your slider i didn't even take that in when I saw the video previously. Super good buy!

It's one of the best sliders out there for the price! Going to try it with my DJI Osmo and see how far I can push it with the Osmo's tracking feature and the slider.

Thanks for the great review, Justin!

I have the same model, and notice that there's some play in the mount, such that it freely rotates by several degrees. This seems to cause some jittery movement as the camera is sliding along. It seems to mainly be a problem with my heavier rig (Nikon D810 and 24-70mm f2.8 lens), especially when it's angled downward. Do you notice this with your slider (both the play and the jitteriness), and if so, how do you deal with it?

Do you think this is better than the Neewer model? The Neewer has an app for remote.
