Sydney Metro Northwest – TBM2 Florence cutterhead lift

After 9km of tunnelling from Bella Vista to Cherrybrook, watch as the cutter-head of TBM2 Florence is lifted to the surface. The second of Sydney Metro Northwest’s four tunnel boring machines munched through more than 768,000 tonnes of rock and went through 616 hardened steel teeth. Florence was the last TBM to finish work. Tunnelling on the twin 15km metro tunnels now complete. Thanks for the memories, Florence.
