Five Soldiers From Uttarakhand's Garhwal Rifles Martyred In Kathua Terror Attack

The family of 26-year-old Rifleman Adarsh Negi in Thatti Dagar village, Uttarakhand, was shocked upon hearing of his death in the Kathua terror attack late Monday night. Adarsh, the youngest of three siblings, joined the Garhwal Rifles in 2018 after completing his intermediate education. He was one of five soldiers from Uttarakhand’s Garhwal Rifles regiment killed in the ambush on their convoy in Jammu’s Kathua district. The other martyred soldiers include Naib Subedar Anand Singh Rawat from Kandakhal village, Havaldar Kamal Singh from Papri village, Naik Vinod Singh from Chaund Jaspur, and Rifleman Anuj Negi from Dobariya village. Their deaths have left their communities in profound grief and mourning.
