The public benefit organizations regulatory authority has initiated an inquiry into the operations of various public benefit organizations. This comes in the wake of serious allegations by the government that 16 civil societies are associated with funding the ongoing anti-government protests in Kenya. The investigation, which has also drawn the attention of the directorate of criminal investigations, aims to ensure that all organizations within this sector adhere to the highest standards of accountability and integrity.
