It's black and white to signify that this footage was the most accurate historic depiction of these real 12 angry men

Nolan is a marketing genius. You have to see his films 3 or 4 times to hear 100% of the dialogue.

Reminds of a Norm Macdonald joke:

There's a new 3d version of the Great Gatsby coming out. In 3d, it was almost like the sober examination of the unrestrained materialism and absent moral center of the roaring twenties almost jumped right out at you!

The dialogue is too discernible to be Nolan’s work.

I hope Nolan tackles Kurosawa's 'High and Low' next. It's a very intimate character study that desperately needs loud tribal drums.

It’s incredible that none of this is CGI, the fact that those twelve infuriated individuals are all real actors just goes to show just how much Nolan focuses on realism over spectacle.

I wasn’t sold on this until I saw I could experience it in IMAX.

As the bit goes on and the score's volume ratcheted up blotting out the dialogue, I was laughing with a big grin. Thanks for the chuckle!

This edit really shows you how good the acting in this movie is to immerse yourself in the movie without the need to smother everything with music.

This movie is proof that great storytelling doesn't require a multi million dollar budget or cgi to make a impact with the audience.... Just a well written script and great performances!

The dialogue was far too audible to be a Nolan movie

I finally saw this movie for the first time a few days ago. Everyone with a halfway functional attention span and a respect for classic cinema should put this one on their short-list of must watch films. It's actually free on Youtube right now.

12 angry men is fucking amazing, highly recommend you watch it it you haven't yet. It holds up really well. You won't even need accompanying subway surfers footage to stay interested, that's how good it is

I implore anyone who hasn't watched 12 Angry Men staggering film to do so RIGHT NOW! It's a masterpiece. Easily in my top 10 films ever made. And we'll never see it's like again. EVER.

Every time you guys showed this it made me really sad for what we don't see much in modern media (at least outside of the indie space)
There are so many old movies that really relied on their dialogue and intelligence to make an entertaining film.
I can understand why they referenced 12 Angry Men in particular. It's in the same spectrum as a really good Star Trek episode.
Entirely focused on a dilemma and reasonable discussion in pursuit of resolution.

I honestly had the thought midway through Oppenheimer that while I enjoyed the movie and I enjoyed the score, I would really like to watch a version of this movie with zero score. Just let the dialogue play out, we don't need a constant undercurrent to make it abundantly clear the science they're talking about is scary.
