I'm a bit disappointed our local news stations haven't kept up with this story. It's that public outcry & pressure that ultimately gets results. Cannot imagine the suffering this mother is going through and the pain her daughter clearly endured. My deepest condolences. She's an absolutely beautiful young woman, no idea what anyone could make fun of her appearance for.

i have family members that went to this school. whenever anyone had to deal with the school administrators, it was awful. one of my family members fell into deep deep depression because of the horrible administration. many kids once positive outlooks on school changed, and many felt worthless because of the deans and kunze. nease is an actual hell. Ashley was not lying. what a beautiful girl to be taken so soon over that disgusting place.

i went to nease two years ago, and the administration — principal kunze and her gang of childish bullies — have made me and many of my friends feel scared, helpless, and worthless.

I can't believe someone started a petition against this mums petition to get answers at the district.

Whoever did that deserves the worst in life.

I had so many teachers in middle/high school who were either pedophiles or bullies.... I completely understand the depth of Ashlee's pain. I'm heartbroken she didn't have the support she needed to see beyond this season of her life 💐

The school board needs to be evaluated! They cannot investigate themselves, just like the police departments can't! They are biased!

This is inexcusable!

We need to teach our children that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem...

It’s sad that this story hasn’t made headline news and was just ignored like all the other cases where kids were bullied in schools and later committed suicide.
Now we have the case of the Adriana Kuch who just committed suicide recently. Hopefully this will bring more awareness and that there will be better discipline when it comes to bullying in our schools to prevent any more victim students from going over the edge.

It would be a shame if all the administrators personal info were leaked out and they were harrassed or worse. Such a shame.

First & foremost…my heart is aching for this sweet mother who lost a most precious gorgeous daughter. I lost my 22 y/o daughter to a drunk driver on US1 on 7/31/21…I feel her pain acutely💔. Your angel will forever be watching over you Kimber. My son graduated from Nease in 2020. When he asked administration why he was being denied his graduation cords to wear w/his cap & gown (as he was a member of NHS for the years he attended) he was told he “had not completed all of his required tutoring hours” thus NO cords. I promptly wrote emails/letter to the Media Specialist & copying Kunze who I see are still there explaining that my son HAD completed over 120 hrs of his community service hrs volunteering at the St Augustine Lighthouse as a camp counselor, worked a part-time job at Publix since his Jr year but most importantly had to basically take care of himself…doing his own laundry, cooking his own meals, packing his own lunches as he had to literally watch my health..( his momma) deteriorate in front of his own eyes from a debilitating & crippling disease…all while juggling his schoolwork & maintaining outstanding grades. Their reply was so callous and basically TOO BAD. I then wrote back a most scathing letter expressing my disgust w/the entire Admin over there. Why couldn’t that Media Specialist simply asked him “is there something going on at home as to why you couldn’t complete the hours of tutoring”?? Also…don’t get me started on how Kunze and Tim Forson acted throughout that entire NO GRADUATION CEREMONIES during Covid. Shame on them. They should have handed him those stupid cords with supportive open arms. This horrifying loss of Ashley is an absolute tragedy and something needs to be done.

What a shame. A young life snuffed out by the very people the county pays to teach and protect her. Pathetic. My child attempted to take her own life after a year worth of bullying by staff and students. The school NEVER did anything. Even after staff members aggressively bullied her on a bus, to the point my child got off the bus and walked all the way home. All for asking why she had to sit in an over crowded seat. The school never called anyone to notify us that my child left school property on foot. I’m quite convinced that no one working for that school board cares anything about our youth. I pray for healing for this family, my heart is broken for them. Just a year ago I was rushing from work to a hospital to find out whether my own child had survived the attack on her own life that she felt was her only way out. Thank you for finding a way to stand up for our children.
