I'm 33 and I turn 34 in two weeks. I'll have to admit. I love this. I was born in 1988 and I miss these old timers. Life has changed so much and here we are in 2022. I miss the older people and how wise they were. Everyone is passing away and society isn't the same. I wish I could have experienced living in the 1960s and 1970s.

"I told you I was gonna mix your head up." 36:52 is such perfect Don. And his end at 39:30 is just as grand. Thank you KHJ. From the bottom of my soul, thank you. Why do his air checks give me goosebumps? I think it may be because though it's not so plainly evident, Don was an artist, perfectionist? The man just rocks me. 40:39 is just as fantastic after that hilariously stupid Johnson's Baby Oil ad and so is his closer at 43:11. 
Simply put, I think the Real Don Steele was beautiful.

Today, this time machine is taking me back to late May, 1969. 9th grade - warm late spring day. We were preparing for graduation day. CCR, The Doors, Stones, Beatles and the Who were among my favorite bands and these broadcasts remind me of some that I'd forgotten, like Medicine Man by the Buchanan Bros. Loving all these uploads. Thanks to whoever has preserved and uploaded them.

growing up in Los Angeles in the 1960s and 70s was pretty sweet. listening to Vin Scully call Dodger games, and listening to the Boss Jocks @ KHJ: the music was terrific, and having guys like Robt W Morgan and Don Steele add their humor = just wonderful!
