Road Trip | Dream SMP Animated Music Video

After listening to Road Trip that @Dream Music​ dropped last month, I immediately wanted to do a Dream SMP animatic music video for it and here finally is!

It's kinda sloppy at parts O_O but I tried.

SMP members featured in this video: Dream, Georgenotfound, Sapnap, Tommyinnit, Fundy, Nihachu, Tubbo, Technoblade, Wilbursoot, and Karl~ I wanted to add more but there just wasn't enough time in the video.

I envisioned the story of this video to be a reincarnated universe where all the DSMP members meet again and became friends but don’t remember their past life on the SMP except for Dream.

But I also love ❤️ reading all the different interpretations you guys come up with. There’s never a single “correct” way to interpret art or a story.

It's almost like a fantasy. Everything is normal and they're living their lives. But Dream know it's not real.

The story this animatic told is very intriguing, almost like some sort of... everything's perfect/a everything goes right version of things, but Dream's the only one who realizes something's wrong about this picture.

I like to think of this as dream being locked in his own mind during the prison lockup and trying to remember and get out of his own head.

I'm just interpreting this as Dream imagining or day dreaming about how he wanted his "family" to be like but is constantly reminded of all the things that happened and chooses to ignore them instead to fulfill his fantasy.

i love how you introduce all the people in the order they joined the smp! also the moving shadow on the mask from the setting sun was such a neat detail. but the best thing is the way the characters interact <3

Plot twist for the Dream smp: the whole server is a dream that Dream is dreaming about. But everyone is actually his friends but this is thing is just a figment of his imagination

I utterly love this idea? The whole reincarnation thing and Dream seeming to try and make up for his past life. It’s so cool. I’ve heard rumors and mentions that there may be a server restart for the cave update, and I wonder if a sort of reincarnation thing could be the start of that.

I like to think that this is after a happy ending on the Dream SMP, everyone's friends again and they all go on a road trip. Tommy and Dream can be friends and play on the the beach, and though there are flashbacks to the war where they remember what they 'used to be', they can move past that and be friends. Although I know that's wrong, the Dream SMP is going to continue to torture Tommy, and there probably won't be a happy ending. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

It’s funny cause in the actual SMP Dream wants everyone to be on the same team as a “family”. And here, he gets what he wants, but he knows this isn’t how it’s supposed to be.

Wouldn’t be scary if you could recall a past life with your friends, but you hurt them and you were the bad guy?
Would you be scared and not want to remember, or would you be curious of who you were then? Do you feel guilt of the decisions you made when you were that person? Do you fear being that person again?

I know what the animatic's about but I cant help but think that dream made them all immortal and this is the smp YEARS later and they've all forgiven themselves except dream and he's haunted but the mask as a memory of his former self
Idk I just think its a cool idea😌
