That speech at the UN riled me!
And no, Kenya didn’t volunteer to send troops to Haiti. We are just hostages for the imperial aspirations.

I have laughed out loud at the bit about Lewa being extended into the Mt. Kenya status. As the colonizers would say, it's too much on the nose.

As with anything, follow the trail of power & control and you will find its true intent.

Does UNESCO really add any value to these heritage sites? I doubt.

Doc, the alternative of letting those areas remain under traditional use and community ownership or even national mandate has this caveat; that urbanization does not stop encroaching into those riparian areas and important ecological sites. The other obvious issue is that locals will always scramble for those lands and big-brother corruption will take them. However, if a country or county develops a culture of good governance, the locals can always trust local governments to mantain the communal value and national value of delicate ecological resources. The path toward such governance is long but attainable for us Africans. I mean the evidence is in our pre-colonial history. Unfortunately the coherence of our ancient structures of good governance at the clan and cultural level can no longer apply because we have already blended our cultures in many ways, which is a good thing. So we need a newer pure framework, and we are not even close to sketching it out (as Africans).

The other angle is the inter-state sharing of resources. If Kenya and Tanzania have a fallout, it's good to already have the Mara protected under something that's bigger than regional interests, let's say for the case of a resource that indirectly affects a third country or 4th country uninvolved in the conflict. Having it protected under something that's bigger than regional interests provides a negotiating base when the warring parties decide to seek external intervention or help. Should we protect them at the level of the AU rather than at the level of the UN? Why hasn't the AU moved in this direction? I share your fears but in the sense that our own frameworks under the AU may already be sabotaged by the globalists. In fact I looked into the technicaloperations ofthe AU's financial apparatus and have reason to believe that these apparatus are puppeteered from Europe.

A human being cannot own something because he do not even own himself. Ìur body is a credit from the mother earth u will give it back when the organism dies.
