BACK STORY
May 2020 we started a flower farm in North East Victoria, Australia. Moroni, utilising his Agricultural Engineering skills, and Phaedra drawing on her years of growing vegetables. Neither of us had grown flowers, neither had farmed. We didn't have any large equipment, and we had started up on a very tight budget.

Our climate zone is: In Australia we are right on the edge of Mild Temperate (Zone 6) and Cool Temperate (Zone 7). In the USA this is close to zone 8B. Our lowest temperature in Winter is around -5 degrees Celsius, our top temperature in Summer reaches up to 42 degrees Celsius at least a couple of times each Summer.
This is the story of our farm, our property and our lifestyle. Enjoy!

Since you asked how we the rest of us are growing them ....this year I planted my Lissies in Jiffy Seed Starting Trays with 50mm Peat Biodegradable Pellets (see on Amazon) and they are doing great! Eliminates using standard soil and them not getting the air they need - these are specifically made for seedlings! Last year I did a regular trays and only had 10 survive and knew I had to do something different this year. I already have approximately 300 sprouts and more each day as I just did my second seeding 2 weeks ago!! And I will never have to pot them up or touch/disturb their roots - they will stay in them till I get ready to plant them out and they will go right in the ground as is - so I feel it's a win-win!

I started my cosmos and remembered that you said last season that you liked using as filler! I tried them and I will do the same thing!
And have a pop of white or pink, or just place in for some whimsy.

Flowers on anything makes it look lovelier. Maybe you could partner up with a channel to get more views of your lovely self and farm. I know a garden channel near me that was on Garden Answers call for seed sowing set ups, she went from a few hundred to thousands in no time. A barn just isn't a barn if it isn't red, just sayin' =^) I also live in the southeast in the states, knew as the Mid-Atlantic over here.

Love the idea of using Cosmos as filler/foliage. I don't actually love the flower, but that airy ferny greenery is beautiful.
