This is my new Solar MPPT (Maximum Power Tracking) test rig. It's equipped with the following operation modes:
-MPPT algorithm
-Battery protection @ 13.8V
-Manual mode

The charge controller switches automatically between MPPT and battery protection mode in order to protect the battery against overcharging, as soon as the charging limit of 13.8V is reached.

Hardware:
-Two 5W / 17.9V Solar panel (small, I know)
-Arduino Leonardo
-1.8" SPI TFT
-DIY Buck Converter
-DIY MOSFET driver with charge pump and IRF2117
-Analog board with RC filters
-Step down converter for the 6V Arduino supply (allows to reduce the losses in the Arduino linear regulator)
-two ACS 712 current sensor modules for input and output current
-Sonnenschein Solar S12 / 6.6 S Lead Acid Gel battery

Could You share more informations about power stage? How do You drive mosfet?
