£12.50 daily charge introduced as Ulez expands to include whole of London

Questioned by BBC Breakfast, Transport Secretary Mark Harper said "The expansion of the Ulez zone to cover the whole of Greater London is a decision by the Labour mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, supported by the Labour leader.

“If you look at the mayor’s own impact assessment, it will have a minor to negligible effect on air quality. So it’s very clear, despite what the mayor says, this isn't about improving air quality in Greater London, it’s about raising from Londoners for him.”

He concluded: “The Government does not support the rollout of the Ulez to the whole of Greater London - we’ve been very clear about that.”

It cannot be long before we have to abolish all UK city mayors - rather as had to be done to abolish the Greater London Council in 1986.

Well over 90% of cars are already compliant and will therefore pay nothing.

Great to see Ulez expanded to outer London. I'm fed up of breathing in dirty vehicle fumes as I ride around on my mobility scooter.

Question.Who introduced ULEZ?
Google. Boris Johnson, Mayor of London 2015.

A majority of londoners and a plurality of brits support ULEZ. Overwhelmingly more than oppose it.
