Intellij IDEA IDE Shortcuts | Tips & Tricks - Part 1

IntelliJ IDEA has keyboard shortcuts for most of its commands related to editing, navigation, refactoring, debugging, and other tasks. Memorizing these hotkeys can help you stay more productive by keeping your hands on the keyboard.

These shortcuts are for Panel Windows. Next Video/Tutorial will be on Files and Functioning.

WINDOWS -
Alt 1: Activate/Toggle Project Panel
Alt 4: Activate/Toggle Run Panel
Alt 5: Activate/Toggle Debug Panel
Alt 9: Activate/Toggle Version Control Panel
Esc: Take cursor back to Editor
Shift Esc: Minimize current panel and take cursor back to Editor
Alt F12: Open Terminal
Alt Ctrl [: Open Next Project Window
Alt Ctrl ]: Open Previous Project Window

MAC -
Cmd 1: Activate/Toggle Project Panel
Cmd 4: Activate/Toggle Run Panel
Cmd 5: Activate/Toggle Debug Panel
Cmd 9: Activate/Toggle Version Control Panel
Esc: Take cursor back to Editor
Shift Esc: Minimize current panel and take cursor back to Editor
